The grand master of Western ballroom dance, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, was born on January 27, 1756. On the occasion of a 250th birthday celebration in January 2006 at the Residenz in Salzburg, Steve Schroyder (electronic), Jens Zygar (percussion), Beate Baby Blue (violin) and Michael Samay (piano) performed compositions from The Magic Flute and Little Night Music the sound of the 21st century. From young to old, from classical to techno fans, such mixed dance floors have rarely been made to swing with such soul.
